Ministry Description

Ariel and Viviana are responsible for the Children's Show ministry. This dramatic play tells the story of Jonah’s life and ends with an evangelistic message. This play is performed in schools, universities, churches, military institutions, neighborhoods, and cities around Bolivia. Their dream is to go to all the parts of Bolivia, in order to preach the gospel with this evangelistic program.

Ariel is in charge of running the audio/visual for the different programs at Word of Life. He also teaches in the evangelism and discipleship center.

Viviana, along with other missionaries, is in charge of a ministry called “Dorcas". Through this group the women work to imitate the life of Dorcas (Tabitha, whose story is told in Acts 9:3) by extending their hands to those in need. To fulfill that goal, the women make cards, crafts, and collect clothes. These items are then sold to help fund different ministries.

About Ariel

I was born in the city of Cochabamba, Bolivia into a Christian family. I was privileged to grow up watching the example of my parents love and service to God.

At the age of 13 I realized that I needed a Savior. I recognized that I was a sinner away from God, so I asked Jesus to come into my heart. As a teenager I was able to be a part of the Word of Life ministry by volunteering in summer camps and was being part of a drama of the story of Jonah. I was deeply impacted by the love and service of the missionaries. Their example served as a catalyst for my desire to be a missionary.

After finishing High School, I had the wonderful opportunity to travel to Argentina and study at the Word of Life Bible Institute for 4 years. In my time there God confirmed His will for my life and put a conviction in my heart to serve Him as a missionary. When I finished school,I returned to Bolivia in order to serve with Word of Life Bolivia and my church. It was here that I met Vivian Valdez who I later married on March 27, 2004. Since then, we have been serving God here at Word of Life Bolivia full-time. God has given us two beautiful children, Matias and Milena. Together as a family, we love God and continually enjoy serving our Lord and Savior.

About Vivi

I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. By the grace of God, I was born into a Christian family. Even at a young age I noticed my parents love for God and we always attended church as a family.

At the age of nine I realized that I was a sinner and I understood my need for a Savior. I prayed and I asked Jesus to come into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior.

After this, I was baptized and I begin to work in my church helping in the Sunday school classes and in the Bible Club with teenagers. Although I was already serving the Lord, I felt the desire to be better prepared in my life and I went to study at the Word of Life of Argentina Bible Institute in 1995. I studied there for 3 years and in this time I felt God calling me to serve in full-time missions. In 2003 God opened the doors and I was able to come to Bolivia and be part of the ministry. My family and I have been serving here ever since.

Life Verse

Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified, just as it is with you. 2 Thessalonians 3:1
