Our missionaries are normal people from all walks of life who have dedicated their lives to serving and following Jesus wherever He calls them. Want to meet them? Check out our Missionary Directory.
I was born in a christian family in 1990. My mom raised me up with my 3 siblings because my father died in the genocide in 1994. My "christian life" was meaningless because i lived a double standard life. I knew how to pray and went to church every Sunday and i thought that i was saved. I used to disobey people, associate with wicked people, i didn't know the value of God's word, i used to hate others, i lied and i felt nothing in my heart about these things because i wasn't saved.
When i was 15years old in highschool, a preacher visited our school and shared the gospel from Romans 6:23, Galatians 5:19-21,Romans 10:9 I realised that I am a sinner and I wasn't saved. That day I decided to receive Jesus as my personal Savior and from that day I desired to stop living my old life, I received the gift of God which is eternal life.
After I got saved my life changed, i started to obey, my closest friends were now christians, I started to enjoy God's word and viewed it as my guide. Gal.5:22-23 and 2Cor.5:17
In 2016-2017, I had an opportunity to go to Uganda to learn God's word in the Word Of life Africa Bible Institute. It was such a meaningful time in my life. I continued to grow in God's word, it is also where i learnt how to do quiet time, how to memorize the scripture, to do Bible study and community service. It was an awesome time because i grew in every area of my life.
During the missions conference we were challenged from Romans.10:14-15, Matthew 28:19-20 about being ready servants to go wherever the Lord would lead us and that day I was convicted to be a ready servant. The ultimate decision was made when there was a need for missionaries to Rwanda and during the missionary in training conference I made the decision to become a missionary in Rwanda.
Now my life verse is in Romans 12:1-2. I beseech you therefore brethren by the mercies of God that you present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy acceptable unto God which is your reasonable service and be not conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
