Oliver and Emily Milton
As the Office Manager, my primary reponsibilities are overseeing the administration of a variety of office tasks including finances, event bookings, correspondence, health and safety, child protection, website content, and much more besides. Further to this I am involved in the puppet ministry ran by Andris Meszaros, the camps, volunteer training and many other areas as required.
I grew up in the town of Helensburgh on the west coast of Scotland, where I was brought up in a Christian home and attended church every week. It wasn't until I was 18 that I began thinking about what it really meant to be a Christian, realising that, although I lived a moral life, I had never dealt with the problem of sin, or entered into a right relationship with God.
I began attending university studying for a degree in physics. That winter, whilst attending my first WOLUK camp, faced with the Truth of Ephesians 2:8-9, I gave my life to Christ.
"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9 NKJV
Afterwards, I began taking an interest in Christian service, and in the work of WOLUK in particular. In 2005, following my graduation from university, I began working full time for WOLUK as their office manager, and continually trust in the promise of Jeremiah 29:11. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."
I continues to run the office in Central Scotland, as well as having an active involement in ministry in locations across the UK.
Romans 10:14-15 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
