Ministry Description
Summary
If you are an alum of the Word of Life Bible Institute, come join this unique missions opportunity to serve alongside our Word of Life team in São Paulo, Brazil.
Strategy
Our tentative itinerary includes some amazing experiences like:
- Visiting the first Word of Life Camp outside of the US,
- Getting involved in ministry at Word of Life’s Vinde Ministry, an after-school program for public school students at risk,
- Enjoying an amazing dinner at Grill Sul Brazilian Steakhouse,
- Visiting São Paulo city / Pro Soccer game / Solomon’s Temple / and Market,
- Participate in Bible Institute Chapels where some alum on our trip will have the opportunity to present and share their testimony,
- Attend a local church on Sunday led by BI alumni,
- Learn more about Word of Life Brazil and a special Q&A time Dave and Mary Ann Cox – founders of the first BI in the galaxy
Travel
The cost for this amazing experience is $2319, which includes your airfare from Tampa, Florida to São Paulo, Brazil and back. Also covered are your in-country housing, food, and transportation. You may want to bring spending money for souvenirs and personal expenses.
Housing
We will be housed at Word of Life Brazil.
Transportation
Our in country transportation is included in this trip as well as our flights from Tampa to Brazil and back to Tampa. You will want to plan to arrive at the Tampa International airport (TPA) before 1:30pm.
Food
We will eat most of our meals at Word of Life Brazil, and our meals are included in the total cost of this trip.
Visa
If you are a United States, Canadian or Australian citizen you will need a visa to enter Brazil. We will talk more about that process if you choose the join us on this amazing trip! For now, I wanted you to know this will be required, and the expected cost to you would be $80.90*.
What to Bring
Bring both warm weather cloths as well as layers for the cool mornings and evenings.
Dress Code
Of course, if you have any alumni gear, please bring it.
Qualifications
All Bible Institute Alumni, and their families, age 18 and older.

How Do I Register:
To register for the trip please create an account at: https://missionaryapply.wol.org/. Choose the Launch – Group Missions Trips application. Please complete the first five checklist items. The last two are not needed for this trip. Your emergency medical insurance coverage is already included in the price of your trip.
After you complete your registration checklist you will be sent a personalized giving link. This link can be used to pay toward your trip at any point over the next few months.
• A 50% ($1,250) deposit does need to be received by December 1, 2025, with the full amount received by February 27, 2026.
• After December 1, 2025 the 50% deposit amount is non-refundable as the airline tickets will have been purchased for this trip.
