Ministry Description
Summary
Healthcare Ministry:
• Our intent is to provide the finest healthcare possible to the poorest and neediest people in the world.
• Team of volunteer healthcare professionals using their abilities to help the helpless.
Strategy
Evangelistic Ministry:
• The Gospel will be shared with every person we treat.
• Word of Life Dominican Republic is passionate to train up youth to reach their generation with the Good News of the Gospel!
Travel
Team members will be picked up from the Santa Domingo airport (SDQ) on Saturday, October 31st, and returned to SDQ airport on Saturday, November 7th.
Accepted team members will be assisted in coordinating their travel.
Housing
• The group will stay at Word of Life Dominican Republic's camp property. They have nice rooms with A/C. It is a flat property with no steps.
Transportation
• Word of Life's missionaries will take care of all the transportation in-country.
Food
• The team will enjoy wonderful, tasty food prepared by our missionaries. You will eat well:)
• We will be able to provide alternate meal options for those with allergies.

What to Bring
• A packing list will be provided to accepted team members.
Dress Code
• Scrubs with close-toed shoes for work.
• Modest casual clothing for free time and day off.
• Bathing suits: "1-piece" with shorts for women (please no midriff), hand-length shorts for men
• Remember that we are protecting the reputations of the Word of Life's missionaries. Please prefer our missionaries for the duration of the missions trip, as well as travel to and from the field:)
Qualifications
Financial Information
Trip cost: $900 + International Airfare
Trip cost includes emergency travel insurance, in-country expenses (food, housing, and local transportation), and a contribution towards medications/supplies.
Trip cost does not include international airfare or background check.

Other Information
Like all of our trips, Word of Life requires each team member to have a background check within 12 months of the trip. This is part of the application process and costs $16.95 (not included in trip costs).
