Ministry Description
Summary
• Applications are open until August 28th, 2026 (8 weeks before travel).
Healthcare Ministry:
• We will treat our patients as thoroughly as possible given the ability of our team.
• This team of volunteer healthcare professionals will use their skills and abilities to help those who have little-to-no access to medical care.
In 2024, we treated 672 patients and shared Christ with each of them!

There is only a 4-hour time zone difference between Liberia and the East Coast of the USA.
Exact arrival/departure window information will be provided to accepted team members.
Strategy
Evangelistic Ministry:
• Like last year, the Gospel will be shared with every person we treat.
• The goal is to treat and share the Good News with over 500 people on the trip.
• Word of Life Liberia is passionate to train up youth to reach their generation with the Good News of the Gospel!
Travel
Trip Details:
• The group will be flying in/out of Monrovia, Liberia (ROB). [tickets about $2,000 – round trip, not included in the trip cost]• Accepted team members will be provided with arrival and departure windows and options for travel agents. This makes booking flights as easy as copying the arrival and departure window paragraphs and sending them to the travel agent!
• Team will be staying within an hour from ROB international airport.
• Yellow Fever, Malaria, & Typhoid immunizations & vaccinations required.
Housing
Location:
• Liberia, West Africa
• Africa’s oldest independent nation
• Established by freed slaves from United States in 1847
• 75% of population under 25 years of age.
Housing
• Staying with our missionaries in Liberia.
• We will not have A/C, but will have fans at night.
Transportation
We will be traveling in West-African style: slow and patiently:)
Food
We will eat Liberian meals throughout the week! It is a carb-heavy diet, and a touch spicy.
(Accepted team members will be given supplement + snack packing advice.)
Visa
The Liberian visa is obtainable through advance application only. We mail our visa applications + passports to the Liberian embassy in Washington DC one month from departure and receive them back in about a week. More details will be provided to team members closer to the time of the trip. The cost has historically been $160. [not included in the trip cost]

Financial Information
Application cut-off deadline August 28th, 2026. (8 weeks prior)
Trip cost of $1,000 due before August 28th, 2026. (8 weeks prior) This allows us to get the funds to our missionaries with enough time for them to prepare the trip.)
$1,000 trip cost includes housing, food, in-country transportation, emergency medical insurance, and a small contribution towards medications/supplies.
Trip cost does not include international airfare, visa, and background check.

Like all of our trips, Word of Life requires each team member to have a background check within 12 months of the trip. This is part of the application process and costs under $20 (not included in trip costs).
