Ministry Description
Summary
WOL France ministry is reaching the French young people in a manner that is new, different and exciting and has become the most prestigious evangelistic Christian youth camp in the area. This property also serves as our base of operation in the Brittany area and needs to be expanded to accommodate more young people. They turn campers away because of lack of room. We are looking for a work team to build tent platforms to help expand the camp capacity.
Strategy
Our goal is to increase our capacity at camp so that more young people hear the Gospel.
Travel
Flying to Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris. You will be arriving in the morning, and leaving in the afternoon after an amazing adventure in France. Airline price examples change but run around JFK to CDG = $800, Montreal YUL - CDG = $600, Tampa - CDG = $1200. As the group forms Terry will help you arrange flights so the group arrives around the same time.
Housing
You will be housed at the WOL Camp in nice dorms where there are single beds (bunk beds) and bathrooms. We can house married couples as well, although on a more limited basis.
Transportation
We will take you into Paris by car (or train depending on group size) and use the Metro. We will drive you, or transport you by train, to our camp property in Dinan.
Food
Awesome meals for the team are provided every day by the Staff Ladies who are all excellent cooks. You'll love the REAL French bread and desserts!
We will use our camp dining facilities and can adjust meal times around the work schedule. Normally breakfast at 8 am, lunch around noon and Dinner around 7 pm. We also usually have a coffee break around 4 pm. Weather permitting, we may have a cookout. Expect French bread, pastries, and other "French cuisine.”
Visa
You can come to France for up to 90 days as a tourist without a visa so no previous paper work is needed for this trip.
What to Bring
There are a number of tools at the camp but there is always a need for more when working with a group. A list will be provided when you sign up.
You will need single bed sheets, towels, personal supplies and your Bible.
Dress Code
Work clothes that can get dirty while working. June/July temps are very nice but still can have cool nights. You'll be working inside and outdoors. Church is fairly informal (some people wear jeans).

Other Information
The electricity is 240 volts so make sure you don't plug your 120 volt tools into the outlets. They won't work long. We intend to take you sightseeing in Paris for a day and potentially stop by the Omaha beach where D-day occurred. You'll need warm clothing to walk outdoors during these days.
