My responsibilities with Parole de Vie (PDV) Québec involve investing in the lives of students at the Bible school and the French language school through discipleship, devotions, small groups, and Bible study. With Québec being considered an unreached people group, I help PDV communicate the truth of the Gospel to the people of Québec through media, technology, video, and other appropriate digital means. I am also involved in training and equipping English-speaking missionaries for ministry in the French-speaking world.
I trusted in Christ and was saved at a young age. It wasn’t until high school that I understood what this reality meant for me and let it change my life. When I attended Cedarville University, I began a process of surrendering my plans to God, asking Him what He wanted me to do for His glory. After university, God led me to visit Word of Life (Parole de Vie [PDV]) in Québec, Canada. Through this experience, I was humbled while learning and improving my French. I finally understood that my only secure identity is found in Christ, and not in anything I found my worth in exterior of Him. During this time with PDV, I also felt God ask me “Are you willing to follow me wherever I am leading you?” I wrestled with that question until I came across the verse Luke 9:23, "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me." Through this verse, I decided to deny myself, and my plan, and to follow Him by saying yes to doing ministry at PDV. God used my time in Québec to humble me, to give me a heart for the people of Québec, and to see the needs at PDV and how He had been equipping me throughout my life to embark in this ministry.
Hebrews 12:1-2: Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
