Our missionaries are normal people from all walks of life who have dedicated their lives to serving and following Jesus wherever He calls them. Want to meet them? Check out our Missionary Directory.
I was born and raised in a very religious family who feared the Lord but didn’t know the Lord. When I was 14, I was invited to a Gospel crusade and, at the end of a long altar call, I went forward! I have to say that the Lord stirred my heart when the preacher asked us if we were sure that we would go to heaven when we die!
I started to serve the Lord in a Christian camp when I was 16 and this is when, for the first time, I felt called to full-time service for the Lord. To make a long story short, I knew I wanted to serve God but when, where, how, this I didn’t knew. But I stayed involved in my local church and in that Christian camp in the summer and the Lord slowly but surely revealed Himself to me. I got married in 1995 and both Yannick and I knew we would be in the work of the Lord sooner or later. In 1996, I left my job as a high school math teacher and began to serve with Word of Life in Sherbrooke, Quebec, where I have gladly been serving since. I have served in a wide variety of tasks but mainly with the Bible School and the camping ministry.
I was saved reading Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
I was saved reading Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” The motto of my life is now Ephesians 2:10 “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”
