Our missionaries are normal people from all walks of life who have dedicated their lives to serving and following Jesus wherever He calls them. Want to meet them? Check out our Missionary Directory.
I was born into a family where both my parents loved the Lord. Growing up my family would tell me about how Jesus died for my sins and that He rose again, but I didn't understand what that meant. Growing up i was trying to please my parents by going to church, but i never enjoyed going. I played the part of being a "good" Christian, but i never had a heart change from Jesus. As I got older, i saw people from my church go to this place called Word of Life Bible Institute and whenever someone would come back from break, I saw their heart change and I wanted the same thing they had. When it came time for me to go to college, i chose to go to Word of Life Bible Institute in Florida. When i got there, i just did whatever everyone else did expecting to change, but yet nothing was different. This made me mad which caused me to go into. A state of rebellion. The only thing that kept me in school was a missions trip to South Africa. On that trip, I was talking to a friend and I told them that I wasn't living for the Lord and that i had no interest in doing anything with God. My friend told me that i couldn't be a believer if I was living for myself and that I didn't even truely believe in God. It hit me that I wasn't a believer and that I hadn't even surrendered my life to Christ. There in South Africa, I prayed and asked God to be my savior! Since then, I have always had a passion to do missions and serve Christ with everything that I have!
Philippians 4:4-7 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
