About Lael

I grew up in a Christian family. My father is a pastor at a local church in Manila and my mom is a godly woman. When I was still a young boy, my parents would tell me stories about the bible. We pray together, we do family devotions every night, go to church every Sunday and Wednesday for prayer meetings, and we also memorize memory verses. I was eight years old when I accepted Jesus in my heart. My teacher in our Christian Living class talked about how Jesus loves us and he has gift of eternal life to those who would believe in Him. At that time, what really caught my attention about Jesus is that when I heard about heaven and what it is like in heaven such as peace, comfort, mansions and streets of gold. Years later, I then come to realize what it really means to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as my father patiently explained it to me. I then understood that as a human, I am a sinner (Rom. 3:23) and that because of my sin, I must pay the penalty of it which is death (Rom. 6:23) and that there is nothing I can do by myself to be saved. I then understood God’s love, Jesus giving His life to give me life. I believed that Jesus Christ died to pay the price of my sin. He was nailed at the cross of Calvary, He was buried but on the third day He rose again from the dead and that He is alive forever. I believe that I am saved by God’s grace (Eph. 2:8-9). There is only one way to heaven and Jesus is the only way!
