Our missionaries are normal people from all walks of life who have dedicated their lives to serving and following Jesus wherever He calls them. Want to meet them? Check out our Missionary Directory.
I will be taking an internship position in the K-12 school on campus and finishing up online school through Clarks Summit. During the week I will be learning Portuguese, working with the students, and taking classes, but on the weekend I will be exposed to a great variety of ministry opportunities, from sports ministry to tribal church plant visits. This will expose me to culture, help me to mobilize more people to take the gospel to the unreached, grow my language acquisition skills, and provide an environment for my own spiritual growth, all of which will prepare me to do tribal church plants in the future.
Both of my parents are Christian, but I never understood the gospel until I was in middle school. I chose to believe in Jesus as my Savior, but I didn't start living for Him until high school. My senior year, as I grew closer to the Lord and decided to obey and trust Him more than ever, He completely switched my desires for my future. I ended up going to the Bible Institute for 2 years, planning to do CCI after. Over the course of those 2 years, the Lord began to show me Brazil and a burden for tribal missions and church planting. I have a heart for animistic people groups, culture, discipleship, and going where the gospel has not yet gone.
So if anyone purifies himself from anything dishonorable, he will be a special instrument, set apart, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work. 2 Timothy 2:21
