Missionary to Panama

Ministry Description

This spring, I have the privilege of going on a short-term missions trip to Panama! This trip is part of a Spring Semester course every sophomore student takes at Word of Life Bible Institute. Instead of only learning about missions in the classroom, students get to raise support and participate in missions around the world alongside Word of Life missionaries.

WOL Panama is involved in camping ministry, evangelism and discipleship of students in conjunction with local churches, training youth leaders, and has an Intensive Discipleship Center for young adults. They also coordinate women's conferences.

This trip will include ministry in a local church with students and adults, street evangelism, evangelistic events, a visit to an Indian village, and serving at a training conference hosted by WOL Panama where all the missionaries from WOL Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Colombia will be present.

About Aveya

Malachi and Aveya married on August 31st, 2025 after meeting at the Word of Life Bible Institute in 2023. Both Malachi and Aveya went to the Bible Institute with the desire to pursue overseas missions, and this is still the goal they are both pursuing. Right now, Malachi is finishing his bachelor's in Religious Education and Aveya is working towards becoming a certified Biblical Counselor through ACBC.
