Our missionaries are normal people from all walks of life who have dedicated their lives to serving and following Jesus wherever He calls them. Want to meet them? Check out our Missionary Directory.
As of August 2017, I started a transition from coordinating the Local Church Ministries to deputizing the principal of WOLIS. This process is in-tended to end with me serving as WOLIS principal. This means supporting 37 teachers, 270 students and their parents towards educating for life and eternity. Mrs. Faith Obunde, WOLIS founder & principal, since August has played a key role in training me alongside the lower, middle and high school supervisors. Together with Mr. Thomas Obunde, WOL UG Founder & Direc-tor, they are ensuring that we will be successful in delivering life changing Christian Educa-tion.
We are grateful for your prayer
and financial support over the years and are confident that you will continue to minister alongside us as we educate for life and eternity.
Please do not hesitate to con-tact us for any clarifications as regards the above mentioned transition.
Arthur’s witness of His Grace:
I was blinded from seeing the gospel of Christ by the cloak of religiosity. It kept the thoughts of earning my salvation by good works warm.
At 24, I came to the realization that being dead in sin could not please God but, I was condemned to eternal separation from Him. However, He presented a complete work in His Son Christ Jesus who cleared my debt/wages on the cross. (John 5:24). That day I was granted repentance by, through and in Him! He continues to walk me through His good works prepared for me by His grace.
Currently, by the Holy Spirit’s enablement I serve at Word of life so as to see youth Know Him, Grow in Him and Show Him within the Local Church Ministries to which they (youth) belong. (2 Peter 3:18)
I am grateful that my wife, stands with me in His Work.
I gave my life to Christ during Sunday school at the age of 10. I believed I was good and did not need to change. Through my teenage years, personal insecurities and fears were cleverly hidden and I lived the typical “Christian” life. At 18, God in His mercy, exposed my heart and showed me my dishonesty in ministering the hope that I personally doubted.
In October 2006, God led me to Word of Life where I watched His power transform young people’s lives and attitudes by the truth of His word. I learned the value of reading God’s word for myself and realized that He requires me to obey it.
Today I spread the gospel, and teach young ladies the lessons I am learning from God’s word using various opportunities like coordinating Gospel productions and Bible Clubs. At the moment I am a stay-home mother using various opportunities to evangelize, disciple girls and minister in music when possible. Through life’s circumstances with its trials and victories, God has made me secure in the knowledge that I am not my own. My life is anchored on faith in Christ who loved me and gave Himself for me. (Gal 2:20)
2 Peter 3:17,18 You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.
