Our missionaries are normal people from all walks of life who have dedicated their lives to serving and following Jesus wherever He calls them. Want to meet them? Check out our Missionary Directory.
I am the Spiritual Retreat Coordinator and my main responsibility and ministry would be with spiritual retreats. The country where I am serving does not allow evangelism or proselytism so we want to maximize the opportunity in Christian schools in sharing solid biblical truths with them through spiritual retreats since they've already declared they are "Christians". I would mainly be speaking with school supervisors or even the school principals. Our goal is to have a program that would direct the students and even their teachers with a clear gospel. Many people in this country that declares they are "Christians" do not really know what they believe and why they believe it. This is a very crucial time for them while they are still in school being confronted with different kinds of information. They need to know the right source. Believers and unbelievers both need help in this place.
Since our team is still growing, currently I am also the secretary/admin and the alumni coordinator. It is my responsibility to track, follow-up, and make sure our goals are being met at a specific time. We have Word of Life Bible Institute (WOLBI) alumni who are Filipinos and locals in that country and it is one of my duties to keep the relationship with them and to have them be involved in our ministries in any way possible.
I am currently studying at a language school and it helped me to connect more with the locals and build relationships with them. I am not yet fluent but I am getting there!
In the near future, I am going to be translating discipleship materials, Quiet Time diaries, and devotions. As of now, I am still in school but I can't wait until I can get started!
I grew up thinking I could save myself through my good works, educational attainment, and personal success. When I was 16 years old right before entering the university, God confronted me with the gospel that nothing besides faith in Jesus alone could save me. I decided to trust in Jesus that day and my life has never been the same. Changes were not easy but the Lord has been faithful. I know now why I am here on earth and that is to serve the Lord and give glory to God. Now, I have a personal relationship with God and it has been a wonderful journey until now.
I sensed the call to full-time ministry when I was in the Bible Institute while studying His Word. I realized that my life is too short and people are dying without having a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. God has lain in my heart to reach the unreached through cross-cultural missions.
Young people have a special place in my heart since I knew Jesus during this age. I believe discipling the young generation is an enormous task that is before the body of Christ today. Reaching the youth for the Lord will create a great impact on society and the world.
Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless, I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
