Missionary to Vietnam

Ministry Description

Currently, I am working in the field of these areas:

- Camping Ministry (evangelism camps for teens)

We partner with local churches to run camping programs to help teens know the Lord personally and dedicate their lives to Him.

My responsibilities are teaching campers the Word of God and doing appointed tasks in the camping program.

- English Club Ministry (using an English environment to share Gospel with non-believers):

The club meets up every Thursday night at a coffee shop. We use Bible stories or Bible verses to discuss with non-believer friends.

I am in charge of program preparation, leading weekly meetings, taking care of new believers, and teaching them the Bible.

- GoSchool Ministry:

This tribal ministry has been established for over 8 years to help tribal children go to school and to do discipleship with young tribal people. Its activities are visiting mountain villages to meet children and their parents, monthly financial supporting college students, helping graduate students to return to their village to help their community, and most importantly doing discipleship with the GoSchoolers.

I serve GoSchool as a coordinator, fundraiser, and discipleship doer with its discipleship groups.

- Discipleship groups:

To follow our Lord Jesus' commandment, making everyone become His disciple, doing discipleship is my daily work. Up to the present, I weekly meet and take care of 2 discipleship groups. Praise the Lord for many unsaved souls to come and agree to study the Word of God with me.

About Barnabas

The Good News that came to my family is so amazing. That was when my grandmother turned on her radio, it coincidently got a signal from a strange channel, she heard someone was sharing a very new thing that she never heard, that was Good News broadcasted from The Philippines. That is the way salvation comes to our family. It makes me never stop sharing it.

When I turned 18, I moved to Saigon - the biggest city in Vietnam for college study. During my college time, I met God personally who has changed my life forever with His love and His power. The more I knew Him, the more my heart was healed. Knowing that no one could give peace, salvation, and love but Jesus, I committed my life to follow Him and to serve Him.

I, my wife, and our little Daniel are so blessed to have Him in our life, we cannot keep this Good News of our Lord Jesus for ourselves alone, but we want to share it with others who do not know Him.

Since 2015, God called me to help tribal children go to school and to disciple young tribal men and women. Therefore, the tribal ministry - GoSchool was established with a vision of the tribals serving the tribals, and the tribals reaching out to the lost.

In November 2021, I joined WOL Vietnam team. Our vision is to see every young Vietnamese to hear the Gospel through a friend and our mission is to evangelize and disciple young people as we serve alongside local churches.

In 2022, I married Emma who also served the Lord in our discipleship group when we were both college student. Before marriage, Emma was used to serve Vietnamese refugees who were stateless in Cambodia and worked as a coordinator of an education project for disadvantaged children. Now we have one baby boy named Daniel.

Life Verse
