My name is Beáta and I have a great privilege to serve God in a beautiful place in Bavaria in Germany at Lake Starnberg at WDL together with great Christian co-workers.
I come from Slovakia. I grew up in a Christian home. In Slovakia, after graduating from high school, I worked for more than 12 years as an economist and later as a deputy general manager. My main responsibility was to lead, organize, plan the tasks for the team. Beside the work I attended 6 years of study at Catholic University subject management. I wanted to improve in my subject and also to know God better, to develop my faith deeply. I graduated from the university in 2012 with a Master's degree. At the university I met Michal. And after 2 years we got married.
Later in 2015 my husband left for Germany for work and half a year later I moved to Germany too. The beginning in Germany was very hard for us with new challenges, new culture, language, apartment, friends, work, colleagues ... but we knew that God has a plan for us and he wants us here. I was looking for work in Germany and God sent me to WDL. In 2016, I started working at WDL at a housekeeper. The work of the housekeeper contributes to WDL's mission by providing the setting for guests to feel comfortable and enjoy their stay with us through cleaning operations and preparing the rooms. I love my job, I love working in a team with interns of all different personalities, motivating the team, sharing my experiences, guiding, challenging and shaping. I love seeing the young people (FSJers, kids and youth at WDL programs) develop. My faith has also deepened a lot at WDL and my relationship with God has strengthened. God gave me 5 great years of service at WDL. I got a new focus for my life at WDL. I am so thankful to be able to work here at WDL and to serve God.
