Our missionaries are normal people from all walks of life who have dedicated their lives to serving and following Jesus wherever He calls them. Want to meet them? Check out our Missionary Directory.
During my 2 year internship in Australia I will be interacting with all facets of Word of Life's ministry there. This includes teaching the "Reach one" program in Churches where we educate and mobilize teens to reach their friends for Christ and establish a "Disciples making disciples" mentality. We will also be doing huge kickoff events for these Churches where we have games and share the gospel.
I will also be a Student Leader in Word of Life's Discipleship Training Center. This training center has college age Australians living on property and taking Bible classes from the staff there. They will also be participating in all of our missions opportunities throughout the year. My role will be to disciple several of the guys in this program and help them grow their relationship with Christ.
Lastly, I will become a certified Special Religious Education teacher in Australia's Public Schools. I will then be able to go into the schools and tackle hot topic issues that Middle School and High School students face with a biblical perspective and principles.
I Grew up with Christian parents, my little brother was saved at the age of 4 and that spurred me on to see what it meant. I was saved at the age of 5 but at the time I did not really understand the commitment I was making. It was not until I was about 13 years old and I went on a mission trip to War, West Virginia that I started taking it seriously. I realized that being a Christian was more than just acting a certain way when you were around certain people, it’s about having a constant and growing relationship with God. I continued to go on mission trips for the next five years of my life and I continued to grow my relationship with Christ which eventually lead to me coming to Word of Life Florida for first year. Through the missions opportunities there I grew a passion for seeing lives changed and so I went to the second year program to further pursue this goal. During this year I gained a greater passion for missions and seeing the lives of people all across the world changed for eternity. This lead me to choose the Cross Cultural Internship and then Australia as my destination.
