Our missionaries are normal people from all walks of life who have dedicated their lives to serving and following Jesus wherever He calls them. Want to meet them? Check out our Missionary Directory.
My ministry can be described in 3 areas.
1. During the summer camps I’m in charge of the camp crew. They are all the volunteers who are not counselors. This includes two of my favorite things, organization and discipleship. My goal as a Camp crew leader is to create an environment for our volunteers where they’re not only helping the campers enjoy their time here, but for them to grow spiritually. Since last summer I also do evangelistic preachings for the campers.
2. During the school year my ministry is leading a Bible Club in Budapest. It’s a really new ministry where we help a local church to restart their youth program. Our goal is to reach the local youth, build them in the church and train the next generation of youth leaders.
3. Also during the school year I work with camp ministries in different areas, such as multimedia, preparation for the summer camp with different things related to camp crew, supervising translation ministries, etc.
God really blessed me with being able to serve Him in all these things. Though many times they are hard to do all together, but by His grace I try to do my best to do it for His glory!
I grew up in a Christian family, so all my life I was going to the church and Sunday school every week, I came to the Word of Life Hungary summer camps and I started going to my church’s youth meeting at the age of 14. I can say that I heard the Gospel hundreds of times, yet I didn’t really care about it. I’ve never been a big troublemaker, mostly because I thought that at the end God will judge us by what we do and don’t do.
I believe that I understood the Gospel and accepted Christ as my Savior at a younger age, but because of the influence of the world I didn’t care too much about who God is and what his will is for my life. It was the same until I came to WOL Hungary in 2014 November for 3 weeks of internship. God used this place, the people here to really change my heart, my thinking and my entire life. Even during the first 2-3 years I thought I know what I have to become, but at our Missions Conference in January 2017 I realized that no greater joy and privilege than following Him wherever He leads me. That weekend I dedicated my entire life to the Lord and decided to say yes to His calling and become a full-time missionary with Word Of Life Hungary.
Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:13-14 ESV)
