Our missionaries are normal people from all walks of life who have dedicated their lives to serving and following Jesus wherever He calls them. Want to meet them? Check out our Missionary Directory.
I grew up in a home where my father wasn't present but my mother loved the Lord. I was saved at the young age of 8 years old. Being so young, I didn't understand what exactly it meant to devote my life to Jesus and to serve him. I steered away from the Lord for a while, but then, God sent me to the country of Colombia for 3 weeks and that's when I fully gave my life to Jesus and accepted His call into ministry. I understood what it meant to be a catalyst for Him. God opened the door for me to go to the Word of Life bible Institute for 2 years where I intentionally studied His Word and met my beautiful Wife.
James encourages us to count it all joy in the midst of trials (James 1:2-4). As Christians, we have the ability to persevere through those trials and storms in order for us to be molded to be more like Jesus. There have been hardships in my life since I fully dedicated myself to His call that I had to persevere in Faith with Jesus, knowing this call orders me to be all in. I am not scared to be on the front lines for Jesus Christ.
I am so grateful to have grown up in a home that knows and loves the Lord. My parents both serve in full time ministry at our church, and I have grown up being surrounded by ministry. I accepted Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior as a child, and since then I have been growing in my pursuit of being more like Jesus. As Jesus promises in His Word (John 16:33), being a Christian does not spare anyone from hardships or challenges. He, in fact, does promise that we will face them. But I have seen very clearly that He also remains faithful to His promise that He will never leave us nor forsake us during these times. He has walked with me through times of uncertainty and worry, and He continually leads me back to Himself, and I am so thankful for that.
Through spending time in His Word in at Word of Life Bible Institute and on my own, I have developed a deep passion for being in full-time ministry – specifically discipling and mentoring girls. When Damien and I got married, I saw that he had a door opened to him to minister to those who speak Spanish, and the Lord began to move in my heart in this direction as well. I believe it is incredibly important for me to be able to come alongside my husband and minister with him in this way. Our heartbeat for serving in Argentina is for the Lord to do His will in our lives and to use us as vessels in the lives of those we meet. Ultimately, our desire is to know Him more and to make His name known.
“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21
