Our missionaries are normal people from all walks of life who have dedicated their lives to serving and following Jesus wherever He calls them. Want to meet them? Check out our Missionary Directory.
I grew up in a divided home, my mother was a Christian, but my father was not. I Still grew up learning about God and going to church. At thirteen, I made a decision for Christ, but during my teen ages I lived a life far from God, without understanding the real purpose of my life. In 2000 a cousin of mine, who was a missionary of the Word of Life invited me to a youth conference in Sao Paulo WOL. I went to have fun, but at a meeting God spoke to me. The co-founder of WOL Brazil Harold Reimer was preaching, and he described what was going on in my life. A double life, incoherent, pointless, I thought that someone had told him about me, he read 1Pe.2.9 : “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, That You may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light”. Two things caught my attention: God wanted exclusivity, my entire life devoted to Him, and He had a purpose for me to declare the praises of Him Who called me. There I got the call of God to ministry. Going back to my city (Porto Alegre) I started to get involved with the team of volunteers for the summer camps. In 2002 I went to the WOL Seminary in Brazil and I finished my studies at WOL Bible Institute in Argentina (2004-2006). During the weekends Marthina and I wrote and talked about what we understood that God could use us in ministry, these conversations left an outline of what is Generation 360 (Discipleship Training Center). We returned to Porto Alegre on our vacation in 2004 and Thomas Schneider invited us to dinner, I took the sketch and when I showed him, he told me that the WOL Southern Brazil was praying for a ministry like this for a few years already! From that moment We began to pray and plan for what is now our Discipleship Training Center. We Officially joined the WOL missionary team in December 2007 and now we coordinate the Discipleship Training Center in Porto Alegre.
