Ministry Description

This year, I have the privilege of being on the Overflow Legacy Band. This traveling recruitment team gets the travel the United States over the course of nine months and serve in Churches, Schools, Camp events, and more. This team has a focus on leading in worship through music, helping serve in the church, teaching the Word of God, and showing these schools, camps, and churches what Word of life is all about. After my first term with the Legacy Band, each of us will have the opportunity to go on a mission trip to one of the Word of Life locations around the world. This mission trip will help and support the missionaries there while learning more about how the Lord is using them. This Band will have the opportunity to help with church services, youth events, camp events, conferences, and so much more. I am so excited to see what the Lord will do through this team.

About Emmanuel

I was privileged to grow up in a God-loving Christian Household. Soon after I was born my parents were called as missionaries to serve in Word of Life France. Growing up in the missions field was impactful in my early years and showed me what a life devoted to the Lord should look like. When I was around five years old, I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal savior and understood that he loved me so much he was willing to die for me so that I might have a personal relationship with Him. Since I was so young, I don't remember the specific day, but I do know that it was after a church service, with the help and guidance of my mom. Later on our family was called to move back to the states. But even though we left our missions field in France, we were still serving Him in different ways now here in Florida. As I grew up in France and in the States, I was surrounded by the Christian faith. I knew what it was to look like a Christian, but I fell into a life of lukewarmness. Through my middle school and high school years I was living for my self. It wasn't until I graduated high school and went to the Word of Life Bible Institute that I realized that my life shouldn't be focused on my self. I need to be continually focused on the Lord. I had learned that the Lord must always come fist and foremost in my life. After finishing up my first year, I attended second year at the Word of Life NY campus. I was able to continue to use my gifts and talents for the Lord and also learned so many different ways that the Lord is growing me. I was shown the importance of surrounding myself with those who are thriving after the Lord and pushing me to do the same. Now I am continuing to grow in my relationship with Him and am learning more and more of the amazing work that he is doing through me and those around me.

Life Verse

"I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." -Romans 12:1-2 (ESV)
