About Fernando

I grew up in a Christian family watching the example of my parents serving at church and partnering with Word of Life in Guatemala. In my teen years my parents decided to study at WOL's Bible Institute and became missionaries. That changed my perspective in life and started to develop my own faith. I put my trust in Jesus when I was a kid, at a WOL camp, and God used missionaries to help me realize that I can have a personal walk with God. The outcome of this was that I dedicated my life to God so that he would use me for whatever He wants. I met Cesia while serving at camps, and God worked in us in such a way that we knew we wanted to serve Him together and dedicate our marriage for His purposes and glory. It's our desire to spend our lives making and impact by reaching out to the younger generations. Just as I saw God using my parents and missionaries impacting the youth, and I myself was impacted by their work, I know this is what God called me to do, and what better to invest all that I am and have for God's mission.

About Cesia

I also grew up in a Christian family and attended church since I was a child, I got saved when I was nine years old at a Word of Life camp when I clearly understood the Gospel. I attended Word of Life camps from a very young age and began volunteering in my teenage years. God always put in my heart a strong desire to serve him as a missionary and to study his word so right after we got married with Fernando we went to the Bible Institute in Hungary to study theology for two years. After graduating we were offered the opportunity to serve full time for a year, I served as the assistant dean of women at the Bible Institute and Fernando served in the IT department, we both were mentoring students and helping with media during summer camps. When we finished our third year in Hungary we were invited to serve in Word of Life Czech Republic where we served for two year. God has exceeded our expectations and desires over the years, and we are excited to serve him as a family in our home country Guatemala.

Life Verse

"Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen." Ephesians 3:20-21
