About Field Worker 1
I was born and grew up in a Christian family. During a Youth Camp in 2004, as my first time facing the question: “Have you believed in God or religion?”, I cried because I knew what I was. Then, I surrendered my life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, inviting Him to be my Lord and Savior.
During my time in college, I joined the student movement (Campus Crusade for Christ) and felt encouraged to embrace the Great Commission as my mission. After graduating, while working at a bank, I did ministry among students voluntarily. After 3 years, both my wife and I felt strongly that we need to be fully devoted to God’s work and to have good training to serve Him effectively. So we decided to quit the jobs and applied for seminary.
Finishing my M.Div program with the major in Biblical Studies at the International Graduate School of Leadership (in the Philippines), we came back to Vietnam, served the Lord with the church (I worked as an editor for the denomination's website and magazine), and continued doing discipleship among students and young adults in HCMC.
In the year 2021, facing many challenges in the student ministry, we felt the need to have a clear direction and focus. At this time, by the divine arrangement, we met with a missionary couple from Word of Life. We felt so encouraged with the mission of WOL to reach young generations for Christ. Knowing that this is the right path the Lord leads us to so that we can serve Him effectively, we decided to apply and work with WOL.
Since the time we quitted the job and went for full-time ministry, we have been experiencing our journey that “we walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Cor. 5:7). Our passion is to see many young people come to know the Lord Jesus personally, grow in their faith, and be encouraged to reach their generation and next generations for Christ.
About Field Worker 1 Spouse
I was born and raised up in a Christian family. However, I truly received Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and Lord when I was 17 years old through the Bible Course I attended in 2007.
Since then, I found the purpose of my life is to glorify God. I want to live a life that can influence others for Christ. And I want to see people who I have influenced, they can also influence others for Christ and they can multiply disciples for the Lord.
We got married in 2014, and God has blessed us with two children. Our first child was born in 2016, her name is Sophia. And the second child was a boy born in 2019, his name is Samuel (Sam).
