Our missionaries are normal people from all walks of life who have dedicated their lives to serving and following Jesus wherever He calls them. Want to meet them? Check out our Missionary Directory.
Currently, I am the student and camp ministry administrative assistant at WOLBI Jeju.
In that position, I act as a bridge—connecting with parents, students, and local church members every day. It is important for use to have good relationships with them. So I seek to encourage, counsel, and pray with them.
1. To nurture develop Christian leaders by connecting Christians with our ministry.
2. To share the Gospel with youth and also with Muslims.(The Muslim population is now one-third of the world.) Jeju is a tourist area where many foreigners (including Muslims) come, and it is an area with the lowest evangelism rate for young people in Korea. So it is my desire to share the Gospel with foreigners on Jeju and I hope that when they return to their home countries that they will take the Gospel with them. I also want to help Jeju churches and WOLBI Jeju students to get a vision for this group of people as well.
At 29, when I was studying Arabic at a university in Jordan, I realized something important was missing.
I had an ever-present question in my heart: Who am I?. I deeply wanted to know my identity and the purpose of my life, but all the answers I found were not satisfying to me.
In John 4:13-14 Jesus said, "But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling, spring within them, giving then eternal life.”
In Jesus, I am God's daughter. I have value and I am loved no matter what. I don't need an impressive career or perfect behavior, because Jesus took on himself all my faults; past, present, and future. Through His blood, I meet God's expectations so independently.
God has given me a mission to share what Jesus has done in my life: in Korea, China, Jordan, Egypt, Qatar, Israel, Jeju Island. He is my creator, he knows me very well, so whatever He wants, I will follow His will.
In 2017, God brought me to WOLBI Jeju (Word Of Life Bible Institute) to study, grow in Him, and prepare to be a missionary just like Jesus. When I graduated from Wolbi Jeju in August 2018, God opened the door to study Biblical Counseling.
Now I am an administrative assistant in the Student and Camp Ministry office. Now my country Korea has the highest suicide rate in the world. They are living in competition with others every day. They don't know what's their personal life purpose in Christ, especially Korean young people.
I have a vision.
I want to share how God changed my life to young people in Korea who are slaves to education.
As a missionary with WOL camps, I can meet Korean students and foreign students too. When I see them, I see God's vision in the world, especially when I see that they are changed in Christ during camp. I trust they can change their family, friends, school, society, and the world. I hope to see more of God's work and grace in the future.
Deuteronomy 6:5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
