Japheth and Betty Mugerwa
My name is Mugerwa Yafesi born in 1989 in kayunga, grew up in a family which did not know God much. So it was up to me to decide whether I attended church or not. But I loved God because the situation at home by then was not favourable, so going to an Anglican Church every Sunday became my routine just to quench the sorrow I went through at home. I did not have a full knowledge of God and the Jesus they used to talk about. In 2002 after my primary seven, disappeared from home and started to live alone hence getting an exposition to peer pressures, discos, taking alcohol and developed lustful ambitions. Blessed be the name of the Lord that one Sunday my brother who had known Jesus a few years back gave me an invitation to the church he used to go to, and that very Sunday the Pastor preached from John 3:16, how God loved the world and gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. So he gave an opportunity for those who wanted to trust in Jesus, and I was one of them who confessed to Him (Jesus). From that day changed was my life, and now have proof for eternity knowing that Christ suffered once for sins, the just and the unjust that He may bring me to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit (1st Peter 3:18), I trusted and believed that Jesus died and that God raised Him from the dead( Romans 10:9) and I know that He is faithful and just to forgive my sins and cleanse me from all my unrighteousness ( 1st John 1:9),hence I have a continuous growth in Christ Jesus and love serving Him.
Until the harvest is reaped!
