Our missionaries are normal people from all walks of life who have dedicated their lives to serving and following Jesus wherever He calls them. Want to meet them? Check out our Missionary Directory.
I am serving as a Word of Life Youth Ministry Intern (YMI) in the state of New York where I will be working along side Bethel Baptist Church in the village of Prospect as their Youth Pastor, teaching, discipling, and expanding their Youth Ministry. Seeking to share the good news of the Gospel with the next generation and disciple them in their walk with God.
I was born and raised in a Christian family in upstate NY. I was saved at an early age when I was doing a devotional with my mother, but my faith didn't really become important to me till I was in my mid teen years. When I was fifteen, God got a hold of my life through the death of a friend of mine. One thing this friend had told me when I first met him a couple of years earlier was that he wanted to live his life to the fullest because he didn't know how long we have till God calls us home. After his death God kept bringing that back to me and how even though my friend was not that much older then me when God called him home he had lived a full life. I knew I wanted that, and after starting to really grow in my faith and my walk with the Lord I wanted more and more to live my life to the fullest by serving God full time.
If there are two verses that have impacted my personal life and my life of ministry they are, 1 Timothy 4:12 "Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity." and Revelations 3:2 "Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your works complete in the sight of my God."
