Our missionaries are normal people from all walks of life who have dedicated their lives to serving and following Jesus wherever He calls them. Want to meet them? Check out our Missionary Directory.
We have been blessed with the role of being the Dean of Men, and Dean of Women at the Word of Life Bible Institute on Jeju Island. Our responsibilities will be to lead, disciple, and counsel the students through the Word of God.
I was blessed to grow up in a godly family, in a little small town in New Brunswick Canada. I made a decision to trust Christ as my personal Saviour when I was around 7 years old, but nothing really changed for me after that. As I grew up I lived two lives, putting on a front while I was at Church. For most of my high school years, and well after that I was living in continual sin, and Jesus Christ was not a part of my life at all. I had reached an all time low trying to find my satisfaction in things that this world had to offer, and it left me feeling more and more empty. The Lord got my attention at a retreat I attended one summer, where I heard the book of Ecclesiastes preached. That is where it all changed for me, I realized that living for the Lord was the only way to having true joy and purpose in life. I realized my need to learn more about Gods Word, and to follow His will for my life. I decided to come to Word of Life in NY, where I have completed both 1st and 2nd year programs. The Lord has done some amazing work in my life during my time here, and I have truly found my identity in Jesus Christ. I have learned that my life is not my own, and that true joy only comes when I am serving my Lord wherever He wants me. I recognize that all people are eternally lost, unless they hear the Gospel and believe in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour. I know that it is my responsibility as a believer to have a part in spreading His love for us to all nations, and that is why I commit my life, my talents, and my finances to this cause. I am ready to boldly walk through whatever open door God places in front of me.
"And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me" - 2 Corinthians 12:9
