Ministry Description

For 3 years now my ministry has been serving in kitchens of Word of Life International, one in Japan and two in Korea. My ministry over in Korea is the operation of the kitchen at our bible institute, I make the menu I do the shopping and I do the prep and cooking. My desire in this is to serve the team members and the students to the best of my ability so that they are able to focus on teaching and learning. This is on my heart because when the teachers are able to focus more time on their lessons they are able to give their all into it. The students are able to put their effort into studying and growing. All this is to prepare the students to be able to confidently go into places you and I may never know of and share the gospel. I am able to support them by feeding them and serving them in the background in order for them up to do the work that God has called them to and the work he is preparing them to do. When I'm not in the kitchen I am spending time with students getting to know them and disciple them. I will also be getting involve with local churches along side the students.

About Joe

Growing up I thought that I was Christian because I was born into it and I went to church on Sunday and youth group once in a while. Until my senior year of high school that is when I started to really ask what being a Christian is about. I have always had a passion for being in the kitchen, since I was young I was trying to cook as many things as I could learn to cook. In my second year in high school, I started to take cooking classes and wanted to go to school for it. In the summer of 2013, I went to Word of Life Inn and the conference center to work in the kitchen. During that summer God got a hold of my heart and I dedicated my life to Christ and I started to seek a relationship with him. Over the next few years, I had learned how to serve God through work in kitchens, and in the summer of 2017, I was presented with an opportunity to go serve in Japan working in the kitchen of SYME Japan. While I spent time in prayer over it and ask some elders in the church to pray with me about it, I decided to pursue that opportunity. After starting to take steps I continued to see God provide the way. I visited for a month before committing it was at this time God started putting mission on my heart. i spent one year in japan and two in Korea. now i will be going back to Korea and continuing the work that god has given me to do.
