Ministry Description
We are the coordinators of Word of Life Paraguay. We serve our wonderful team. Some of these activities include evangelistics campaigns, summer camp, winter camp, workshops and evangelistics events in schools (public and private schools), organizing short-term missionary trips in different communities with churches and brothers in the faith from the local area or churches from the United States who come to serve with us. During the week we are involved in different programs of Local Church Ministries (LCM) and we are also involved in our Evangelism and Discipleship Center (EDC) where more than 60 students have gone through this program since 2019. We would love to count on you in prayer, donations or if the Lord wants you to visit us, you are more than welcome to come. We will be waiting for you to share a unique moment serving together. About Jose
My name is Jose Jeremias Acevedo Withers. I was born in a Christian home with missionary parents. At 5 years old, in a hotel room, my mom shared the Gospel with me through drawings that I learned in Sunday school, at that moment I accepted Christ as my personal Savior. I love soccer and at 6 years old I entered a soccer school where I played until I was 18. I had made it to a professional soccer team, but God was calling me to leave soccer and go to a Bible Institute in Argentina for a year to learn more about Him and His word. I decided to leave soccer and went to Bible Institute in 2010. I ended up going to Bible Institute for 4 years! During that time, God placed a burden on my heart to serve Him in full-time ministry. I see it as a great privilege and responsibility! I met my wife at Bible Institute in 2013, we got married in 2015 and are now serving the Lord together in Paraguay. We have 3 beautiful children, Noah, Bastian, and Ariadna. God is doing amazing things in this country! My favorite verse is: For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself. For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. For to this end Christ died and rose again and lived again, that he might be Lord both of the dead and of the living. About Emi
My name is Emilse Belén Muñoz, I was not born into a Christian family, my parents are separated, I lived with my mother, her husband, and my 5 siblings. At age 10, at a meeting for children in my neighborhood I accepted Christ as my Savior. At age 14 I started going to a Christian church with my family. A year later, at age 15 I was baptized.
At age 21 I studied at the Word of Life Bible Institute in Argentina. While there, God put a burden on my heart to serve Him in a Local Church. After completing the 3rd year program in 2014, I stayed as an intern at the Institute for half the year. During my time as an intern, I met my husband. In 2015 we got married!
My favorite verse is Joshua 1:9 - Have I not commanded you, Be strong and courageous; Do not be afraid or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. We serve the Lord together as a family and are encouraged to see what He has for us.
