Ministry Description
I live and serve as a missionary in Taichung, Taiwan. I work at SYME.
SYME stands for:
Shèngjing - Bible
Youyì – Friendship
Ménxùn - Discipleship
English - Yingwén
This is a discipleship training center that uses English to teach students ministry skills. It is an effective tool for sharing the gospel and helping students grow in their walk with Christ.
About Karl
When I was four years old, my sister told me that I had done things that were wrong and I would not be able to be with God when I died. She told me that Jesus had paid the penalty for my sins and that if I trusted in Him I would spend eternity with Him. I remember praying and expressing trust in Jesus for my eternal salvation. Eternal life begins at the moment of salvation. I want to make myself available for God to reach others with His message of hope.
Serving in Taiwan is an amazing experience. I have the incredible opportunity to see God work in people’s lives. A man I have a lot of respect for told me when I was young that “every Christian should work towards going overseas as a missionary until God redirects their path.” It took me a while in life to see the value of his statement, but I completely agree with him now. “There is no better life than a life lived for God!”
Life Verse
Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5:20
