Our missionaries are normal people from all walks of life who have dedicated their lives to serving and following Jesus wherever He calls them. Want to meet them? Check out our Missionary Directory.
Currently, I serve in the area of administration and during the weekends I support the Ministry area of the bible institute, where we go to the different places with plays for young people and children, organized games, and visits to churches in order to take the gospel to those who do not know Jesus yet.
My name is Karla, I'm from Honduras. I was not born in a christian home, when I was 7 years old, I met Christ in a bible school to which I was invited, and since then I started attending church.
There I learned about how there were people who went around the world talking to others about Jesus, and I decided that when Igrew up I wanted to do the same.
My call to missionary servicewas confirmed in a Word of Life camp in Honduras, where I heard about the 5 missionaries who gave their lives in the jungle of Ecuador by sharing the gospel to the Huaoranis tribe in 1958.
As not all my family is a believer, upon learning of my desire to study in a bible institude, some encouraged me to continue, but the others, although they disagreed, witnessed how God worked in a miraculous way so that I could come to Mexico!
After 3 years of bible study, the Lord clearly showed me through my devotional time, that it was here that he had prepared for me to serve Him full time.
I am very grateful to God for all that he has allowed me to learn during this time. It has not been all easy, but I thank Him that His work continues to be perfected in my life and that it gives me the privilege of serving Him.
