Ministry Description

I will be serving as an English teacher at English4Life in Poland. English4Life is an English immersion program in Zgierz, Poland. At English4life, students are immersed in the English language and the Bible. While my main role will be teaching English, there will be many opportunities to build relationships and pour into the lives of the students.

About Leia

I grew up in a Christian family in the Bahamas and came to know Christ as my personal Saviour when I was five years old. I served in my church throughout my teen years, and when I was 15, I was challenged to give my WHOLE life, not just parts of it, to God. I made the decision to attend Word of Life Bible Institute (WOLBI) in Jeju, South Korea, after finishing high school. I then went on to the second-year program of WOLBI in New York. During second year, I had the opportunity to go to Taiwan for missions reality and see the ministry of SYME (School of Youth Ministry in English). I had come in contact with this ministry in Korea, and after seeing the impact of SYME and being able to experience it first hand, I prayed that God would present the opportunity to be a part of this kind of ministry in the future. I had the opportunity to serve as an English teacher at SYME Korea in 2021, and now I am pursuing serving as an English teacher at English4Life in Poland in the fall of 2024. God has been faithful in providing direction as I pursue His will in my life, and I know He will continue in that faithfulness. My desire is to live in His will and pursue Him fully, next in Poland, and then wherever the Lord leads me after that.

Life Verse

James 1:2-4 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
