About Leo

When I was five years old my dad left my mom. This was very difficult for my mom as she had to raise her four kids alone. I got involved in the world of Rock music and drugs, which brought me many problemas with my mom and at school. When I was 18, my cousin invited me to a Word of Life Bible Club. It was there that I understood that my sins were the reason for all my problems. That day, I asked God to wash me with his blood and change me. Today, I am living a new life and have been serving the Lord for forty years. God brought us to Mexico in 1983 to start this ministry and we thank Him that after 31 years we now have a team of over 70 missionaries. Seeing the great need to reach youth that are lost we continue to serve the Lord. We want to dream for more and are praying that God would allow us to be faithful to our calling until we finish the race.

About Hirma

I am the ninth of ten kids. I had a very difficult childhood. My dad was an alcoholic and was not able to provide for our family. Once I finished elementary school, I had to start working to help my mom. When I was eleven, a family offered to take care of me and because of the need that our family had my mom accepted. I would cry at night wanting to be with my family. Hate grew in my heart towards my father so much that I wished he would die. When I was fifteen my dad died of ca´ncer and I felt such guilt that I went into a state of depression. At the age of 20, a friend invited me to a Word of Life Bible Club. For the first time, I heard the gospel message. I cried that whole night and understood that I was a sinner and accepted Christ as my Savior. I was discipled and at twenty-three years old decided to go to the Bible Institute. I met Leo and accepted the challenge to be a missionary. I thank the Lord for Leo and for our three kids Pablo, Daniel and Lidya our daughter who is now in the presence of our heavenly father.
