Ministry Description

It is my heart's passion and joy to be used for the Lord in His ministry, to reach out others, to be involved in the lives of young people, to evangelize and disciple students to likewise share the Gospel with others.

Just as the Word of Life Campus Ministry was as an instrument that led me to Christ and aided me in my Christian journey, I also desire to be used by God in the same way He showed me six years ago. Reaching the lives of college students with the Gospel of Christ, equipping them with God's Word and mobilizing them to share Christ by exposing them to different ministry opportunities such as sketch board and puppet show ministry, open air and personal evangelism ministry .

About Mae

I grew up in a family that did not actively walk with the Lord. I thought I knew who the Lord Jesus was as I often saw His figure in churches on Sunday. I grew up thinking that God would save me if I were a good person, doing good works. I entered university with this mindset but all changed when my godmother, Cora Pisano, invited me to a kick-off party of the Word of Life Campus Ministry in August 2016. On my third Bible Club visit, one of the Bible Institute students, Inah Cabanilla, shared the Gospel with me and cleared up my misunderstandings about who Jesus is and what He has done on the cross. In September 2016, I decided to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as my Lord and personal Savior.

From then on, I continued to be involved in the Word of Life Campus Ministry, doing open air evangelism, puppet ministry and undergoing discipleship with Pauline Malagueno. God slowly but surely changed my old habits and overturned my wrong perspectives in life. My priorities changed, and I found my purpose in living my life for the glory of our Lord Jesus.

Having received and experienced God's life changing grace has placed a burden in my heart to serve the same community that helped me to grow in my Christian walk. Thousands of students studying in the University are far from their homes, friends and loved ones. Many are excited yet frightened starting a new chapter of their lives.

These students are exposed to different and varying influences that will mold their perspective in life. My desire is to reach out to these students and share the Gospel of Jesus, about Who He is and what He has done. The Campus Ministry team hopes to be their support system and second family at the university and help them build a personal relationship with God.
