Our missionaries are normal people from all walks of life who have dedicated their lives to serving and following Jesus wherever He calls them. Want to meet them? Check out our Missionary Directory.
Ministry Description
We believe that God has called us to minister to the young people in their process of knowing our Lord. Since 2014 I am the director of the Bible Institute. I teach several classes. During the summer, we coordinate camp team on Word of Life property. Also I preach in my local church on a regular basis. We are grateful for God's work in us and through us!
About Oleksandr
I was born in a pastor's family, therefore raised in a Christian setting: prayers, Bible studies with parents, Sunday school, church meetings, etc. But unfortunately I did not know Jesus as my personal Savior. When I was 19, a missionary from Word of Life came to our church, and talking to him I heard the Gospel clearly for the first time in my life. I realized that Jesus came to this world and died on the cross, taking my place. With joy I turned to God, asking Him to forgive my sins due to Christ's sacrifice. I began to share the Gospel with my friends, some of them also turned to Christ. In 2001 I got an opportunity to become one of the first students at Word of Life Bible Institute. Finishing up the two years of school, I had a great desire to stay for the third year as a volunteer. During this next year I was involved in various ministries: summer and winter camps, drama outreach team for different schools. In 2004 I got married and as a family we joined Word of Life staff. In 2009 our son was born, Nazar. When he was 4 he accepted Jesus. We are so grateful to God for this!
About Ludmila
I was born and raised in a Christian family. Since early years I attended church, but my life was very dull and gloomy. When I was 19 I came to Word of Life camp and there I found out about Word of Life Bible Institute. During my first year of studies I realized many spiritual truths, but it was difficult for me to live them out. While studying, I realized the reason why it was difficult: I knew a lot about Christ, but I did not know Him personally. I had to believe in substitution sacrifice of Jesus for my sins. Therefore I accepted Jesus into my heart. Since then I am sure that I am His child. Currently I am involved in spiritual work with Word of Life female students. Together with my husband we enjoy serving our Lord.
Life Verse
But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place. 2 Cor. 2:14
