Ministry Description

God gave me, along with my family, the opportunity to move to Belize and establish the ministry in Belize. Through 10 years, we have seen God's hand opening doors in so many ways, through churches, High Schools and primary schools. We are able to work with Bible Clubs, Olympian clubs, retreats and camps. After 10 years of praying and renting places to run our retreats and camps, God gave us the opportunity to get our own property with the desire to build it up to give a best experience to the youths, kids and families that come to our camps, retreats and conferences. Also, this open us an opportunity to work with the community that surrounds the property. We are excited for is about to come and what God will do through this place and how the ministry will be able to grow more.

About Odwar

I wasn't born in a Christian family, and it wasn't until I was 18 years old that I accepted Christ as my Savior. In 1998, I was discipled and challenge to go to the Bible Institute (BI) in Argentina. During that time, I started a relationship with Rita. In March of 2001 we got married and we left our country to go to be BI in Argentina. We spent 3 years studying the Word of God and in 2003 we returned to our home country to serve.

In 2008, being part of the WOL Guatemala staff, we did a trip to Belize through the church of a Belizean girl, that my wife was counseling. That trip, helped us to make contact with pastors that allow us to start the Bible Clubs in this country. As a family, we visited the Bible Clubs and churches, so we traveled for 2 years from Guatemala to Belize every month. After these two years, through our authorities, God called us to move to Belize. On February 2013 we moved with a lot of dreams and prayers for things to do in this amazing country. We love this country where God has allowed us to serve Him and influence the life of so many youths, kids, families and churches, through Bible clubs, Olympians, conferences, retreats and of course Camp Season.

Have passed 10 years, and God has done amazing things in Belize through the ministry of Word of Life and we pray that we can do so much more in the next years and reach more youths and kids.

We are so happy to see how God has challenged us in many ways. We pray for many students to be reached in Belize by the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

About Rita

I wasn't born in a Christian family. At the age of 6, I accepted Christ as my savior. In 1998, when Word of Life came to Guatemala, is when I started to be discipled and grow in my faith and became a leader in my Bible Club. Also in those years we began a relationship with Odwar and we both were encouraged to study at the Word of Life at the Bible Institute in Argentina. In 2001 we got married and that same year we went to study the Bible iInstitute. Those were three amazing years of growth as a couple in the Word of God.

We returned to our home country in 2003 and serve there for 10 years. During that time, God gave me the opportunity to disciple a girl from Belize that saw what God could do in her country through the ministry and helped us with contacts in Belize. Through this discipleship time, God opened doors for us to know Belize, meet families and with the time, move us to this great country and serve God and amazing people here.

Jael, our first baby girl was born in 2005. In 2013, we moved to Belize with many expectations and God gave us, that same year, the first great blessing in Belize, our second baby girl, Sara Daniela.
