Missionaries to Togo
Ministry Description
Local Churches Ministry: We train the youth leaders and proceed to the launching of a new club. We have at this time, 31 Youth Bible Clubs around the country. We visit our clubs to serve them by teaching the youth.
- We organize youth camp every two years but in the year without camp, we organize a Special Day Meeting with all the clubs and we chose a place to gather our youth for teaching them and do many activities.
- Leadership Meetings: We gather our youth leaders twice a year for training and for our camp preparation.
- In this time of Covid-19, our whatsapp group is a benefit to us. At the beginning, we stated with prayer meeting on it twice a month with devotion. But from September 20th, 2020, Missionary Serge Lemée, helped us by initiate a Daily Connect on our whatsapp group. He first sent us the Bible passage for three years that we share on our group to help everyone do his Daily Connect. But from October to December, he saw the need to do a seminary on our whatsapp group about the Daily Connect. That helped us a lot to understand well what is the Daily Connect and his goals. After that, we passed through a test to help us understand and learn in theory and how to do it on a personal basis.
About Richard
I received Jesus-Christ as my personal Savior and Lord in May 14th, 1995. I might do that in 1985, but my mother strongly refused me to attend Church. Fortunately, she had accepted Jesus on September 1st, 2013. Glory to the Lord!
After hearing a preaching that Sunday in Ebenezer Temple of Calvary Bible Baptist Church, at the end, I said that I could not go home without make a decision to receive Jesus-Christ. Leon, was the name of the deacon who explained to me the Gospel and at the end, I decided to receive Jesus. I realized that I was a sinner, and I deserved the eternal punishment for sin (Romans 3: 23; Romans 6: 23a). But I believed that the good news is that Jesus died in the cross for my sin and shed His blood for my sin, He was buried and raised up from death (Jean 3: 16). I confessed my sin to God and I asked him to wash me with the blood of Jesus. Then, I confessed Jesus-Christ as my personal Savior and Lord. And I became a child of God (Jean 1: 12). My name is written in the book of life forever. I am glad to be a Christian. Nothing shall separate me from the love of Christ. (Romans 8: 35-39). I dwell in the love of Christ forever (Jean 15: 9).
Since 1998, I was a teacher of baptismal class. But in 2007, I had my first contact with Word of Life Missionaries, Serge Lemée, Mark Strout and David Kelly. Then, I help them in the preparation of the materials, and the leadership training. And any time they are in Togo, I was with them in their activities for establishing the ministry in Togo. I also went to the Bible Institute from 2007 to 2011. In July 2009, I had a strong conviction to the call of God and I went to present it to our senior Pastor. In 2011, My Pastor recommended me to Word of Life as an associate member and I was involved in the ministry of Word of Life, especially in Local Church ministry, camps and souls winning activities. By the grace of God, my wife and I went to MIT in November 2019 to be received as missionaries to Togo, West Africa.
