Our Missionaries
Our missionaries are normal people from all walks of life who have dedicated their lives to serving and following Jesus wherever He calls them. Want to meet them? Check out our Missionary Directory.
Ministry Description
A Resident Director (RD) is someone on the Word of Life Bible Institute campus that leads and mentors the Resident Assistants (RA). Every week we meet and discuss about how God has been teaching them through their classes, Quiet time, and how their meetings are going with their sections. It is an awesome time of discipleship and growth not only for the RA but also me. There are days where they encourage me with how they are growing or how they are succeeding in their ministry to their sections. I take pride in observing them have meetings and care for their guys. It is an awesome time to be a RD I know this is where God has me for the moment, and I am excited for what's next.
About Spud
I came to put my faith in Jesus Christ at the young age of five. Feeling the call to ministry in High School, I was faced with the decision to obey the call to ministry or go into what I loved at the time which was engineering. Now after finishing my degrees, I have been serving as a Resident Director for the Word of Life Bible Institute in New York. After serving my home church back in Texas for four years after my time at the Bible Institiute, God has brought me back to WOLBI to teach and mentor the next generation of Church leaders and those pursuing the Lord with everything. I am excited to be able to serve and help with upcoming missions' trips and OAE trips to New York.
Life Verse
"For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps, who committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in His mouth; and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously; and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed. For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls." 1 Peter 2:21-25
