Our missionaries are normal people from all walks of life who have dedicated their lives to serving and following Jesus wherever He calls them. Want to meet them? Check out our Missionary Directory.
Sue and I have a passion to reach today's youth through evangelism, discipleship, and leadership training. All three are important if we are to reach as many as possible. We want to do whatever we can to help local churches develop vibrant youth and children's ministries. We would love to talk to anyone with the same passion. We believe that leadership is key to reaching youth. One of our main goals is to help leaders grow in Christ and in their ability to lead the children and teens that God has placed under their care.
I was blessed to grow up in a home where both my parents were believers who faithfully attended and served in our local church. At the age of six they took me to a special program at our church and that night I recognized my sin and need of a savior. I lived a nominal Christian life through high school. College was the time when of rebellion, I was angry and far from God. Finally during my junior year in college God grabbed a hold of my heart and I committed my life to him. I went home and started working with youth in our church, just as my parents had done before me. Sue and I were married in 1984 and started to serve together. It was at Word of Life Island in 1999 that God called us to ministry with Word of Life and we are blessed to continue to serve God with Word of Life.
I was saved at an early age during an event that my church had for small children. After graduation high school I attended Cornerstone University. It was during that time that the Lord brought Steve into my life. We were married in 1984 and started working with youth in our local church. We invested nineteen years into youth as volunteers until in 1999 God called us to serve Him as missionaries with Word of Life. Our passion is still to reach youth and we are thrilled to be used of God in an area that we absolutely love.
Col 4:12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ Jesus, greets you, always struggling on your behalf in his prayers, that you may stand mature and fully assured in all the will of God.
