Our missionaries are normal people from all walks of life who have dedicated their lives to serving and following Jesus wherever He calls them. Want to meet them? Check out our Missionary Directory.
I grew up in a Christian home. My parents are missionaries and I always heard about Jesus and his sacrifice for me. When I was 4 years old I trusted in Jesus as my savior.
Growing up my relationship with the Lord was not strong. When I turned 17 my family went trough a really hard time that made me realize that I was not puting God in my life. One day, I got invited to a winter camp at Word of Life Chile. I went to it and my life completely changed since then. I got invited to a Bible club with my brother, and they introduced me to many different Christian disciplines.
Two years after that, I was getting ready to go to the Bible Institue in NY! One day during missions conference the preacher talked about missions and how he viewed missions. He said that, just like Jesus had to go through Samaria, only to talk to one person, we have to go through our own Samaria. He described Samaria as "that place where the disciples did not want to go". And I knew that in my life I would have to go through my own Samaria even if that means that ONE PERSON is going to hear about Jesus. That day my mindset changed and I knew God was calling me to missions. I did not know where or when, but I knew that I wanted to be obedient to His calling.
Today, after 2 years at the Bible Institute, I am given the opportunity to go to Quebec, Canada! And even though it´s been a rough journey, God has been so good to me. He has shown me my worth, He has shown me where He wants me to be, and He has shown me that He is faithful to bring to completion what He has started in me.
Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12
