I (Faith) came to Christ as her personal savior at the age of six years old after a Sunday evening service at the church I had been attending with my grandparents. I was baptized at the age of seven and had the privilege to grow up in a family of believers. I was homeschooled through high school but became affiliated with Word Of Life through one of my youth leaders at my church which did WOL programs in the youth group. At the age of 17 I was given the opportunity to go on a missions trip with Word of Life to the Philippines, during this trip I began to feel the call to missions. I later attended Word of Life Bible Institute in Portersville New York and during my time as a student she had the opportunity to go on a missions trip to Ukraine. During this trip my love for missions was solidified and I began to ask the Lord to show me how I could be apart of oversees missions. During my last year in New York I met my now husband Twinkey and six months after we were married we were told about an opportunity on Jeju Island in South Kore. Fast forward a year and now we are serving students, fellow staff and the community on Jeju.
“Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead. I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:12-14
