Thanks for taking the time to visit our website as we transition to our new roles. My life purpose statement is still "Coaching others to life change". Although my priority is the spiritual and financial health of our Youth Ministry Coaches, we also have the privilege of discipling youth pastors and mentoring students. Gretchen has a vital role as she assists the Director of Enrollment and continues to minister with me in the Regional Coordinator role. God has blessed, and we are incredibly thankful for these opportunities to serve the Lord.
Kevin: I prayed to receive Christ as a child after hearing the Gospel presented by my father in Lake City, Illinois. Word of Life Camp and Local Church Ministry had a huge impact on my life. It was at a campfire on Word of Life Island at the age of seventeen that I committed to serve the Lord. In 1988, I attended the Bible Institute in New York and finished my degree at Liberty University. For 28 years, I had the privilege of serving and coaching local church leaders in Eastern Virginia. However, in the summer of 2022, I was asked to consider the role of Regional Coordinator for Youth Ministries in the Northeast. Gretchen and I accepted and have relocated to Schroon Lake to serve the 8 missionary coaches in the Northeast and work from the National Office located at the New York Bible Institute.
Gretchen: I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior with my mother at the age of five. On a teen mission trip in 1987, I committed to do whatever God wanted me to do. Kevin and I met at Liberty University in 1990. We began working together in youth ministry at Bible Baptist Church in Appomattox, VA. After two years, we became missionaries with Word of Life Local Church Ministries. God has blessed us with 3 children; Luke, Kara, and Julia. All of our kids are now married, and we have 4 grandchildren. Since we moved to Schroon Lake, the opportunity to serve as the Enrollment Services Coordinator for the Bible Institute came about, and I am enjoying the work and energy of being on a college campus.
