Missionaries to the United States

Ministry Description

Our burden is to reach the youth of Northern Ohio with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through partnering with the local church. We equip youth leaders to reach the next generation through discipleship, evangelism, and leadership training.

About Chris

I accepted Christ as my savior at a young age while staying with my grandparents. One Sunday, the pastor, Johnny Adkins, preached that we were all sinners, that Christ died for our sins, and He rose from the grave. I prayed, asking for forgiveness of my sins and asking Christ into my life.

I didn’t live as a Christian until high school, when I got involved in church. I started attending a young adults group and began doing a daily devotion. That was when I first felt the Lord calling me into the full-time ministry. However, I wasn’t sure what He had planned for me.

After a couple of years of college, I met a missionary at our church. He was sharing a need for volunteer teachers to come to South Korea to teach English. I wasn’t sure why the Lord was calling me there, but I decided to follow. After being there, I knew that God was calling me to serve Him, and I dedicated myself to full-time service.

After two years at Word of Life Bible Institute and Liberty University, my wife and I went through the mission board, and we were accepted to be Missionaries with Word of Life.

About Lydia

I accepted Christ as my savior at the age of 7. One evening my father and I were talking about heaven and hell and how Jesus died for my sins and rose from the dead for me! That night I accepted Jesus into my heart.

As a young child, I attended church regularly, but it wasn’t till I was in my teen years when I made an effort to have a relationship with Christ. I knew the Lord had a wonderful plan for my life, and I followed his leading to the Word of Life Bible Institute. During my second year at the Word of Life Bible Institute, I dedicated my life to full-time service for the Lord.

I met my handsome husband during summer ministry, and we were married on December 4th, 2010. Not too long after we found out, we were expecting our beautiful daughter Genevieve, who was born on October 28th, 2011. I am so excited about our future ministries with Word of Life.
