Ministry Description
The ministry in which I am involved is called Overflow Legacy. It is a travel worship band made up of Word of Life Bible Institute alumni. Overflow Legacy travels throughout the United States sharing about Word of Life ministries, leading worship through song, and teaching messages from the Bible. Ten people make up the entire team and we travel for nine months, primarily going to schools and churches. Part of the Legacy experience is that each person on the team goes on a short-term international missions trip. I sing on the band and will have the opportunity to give messages from the Bible.
About Joe
I grew up learning about God and got saved when I was nine years old through the Christian elementary school I was attending. My life thereafter was filled with both failures and opportunities to grow. I had a significant change of attitude in my high school years, desiring to follow God closer and know Him deeper. I meditated on God’s Word more, sought areas of my life that needed change, and learned theological truths. I had an idea that God’s direction for me might be pastoral ministry, but was not sure what precise steps to take. Knowing that my older sister had a great experience at Word of Life Bible Institute, I followed in her steps, believing it would be a good place to start after graduating high school. It sure was! Being involved in music both before and during my time at Word of Life, I have increasingly grown in my love for worshipping God through song.
