Ministry Description

Cory: I will be working as a part of the Maintenance Team at the Word of Life Bible Institute in Hungary. I'm excited to be able to assist with the care of the grounds and facilities, as well as to be involved with ministering to and with the student body.

Kristi: I will be working as the Marketing Coordinator for the Ministry of Word of Life in Hungary. I look forward to working alongside the ministry of Word of Life and helping it reach people that it can benefit. I love being able to capture life change as it happens through photos and videos as well.

About Cory

I trusted Christ for my salvation when I was 4 years old, but didn't fully commit my life to following Him and His will for my life until I was 19. After attending the WOL Bible Institute in New York for 2 years (where I met Kristi), I felt God leading me to remain at the Bible Institute on staff, where I have worked for the last 2 years. In the fall of 2022, a few months after we were married, we felt God calling us to pursue missions overseas. Though we didn't know what it would look like, we spent the next several months seeking the Lord's will and looking for an opportunity where we could use our gifts and passions to serve him. In April of 2023, through some of the connections we had made in our years on staff in New York, we learned of the need in Hungary in for Maintenance and Marketing - the roles we had been fulfilling in New York! After reaching out to Leadership in Hungary, we quickly were able to determine that we would love to serve in Hungary and join the team there in the work they're doing to build up the next generation of the church in and around Hungary.

About Kristi

I grew up in a Christ-centered household that went to church multiple times a week. I am thankful for a family that pointed me toward the Gospel as I know seeds were planted in my life while I was young. It wasn't until I was 10 years old at a summer camp in Rochester that I truly understood what it meant to have a relationship with Jesus. Throughout my teenage years I struggled with different things in life that became too much of an idol. I knew God should be number one in my life, but I slowly let temptations and idols take control multiple times. God never left my side through these seasons and by His grace and mercy I found myself seeking him as I was considering my future plans in life. I decided to go to Word of Life Bible Institute in New York in 2019-2021. While I was there I learned so much and established a Biblical foundation for my life that I will forever be grateful for. While I was studying there, I met Cory who I married in Spring 2022. We both served on staff at WOL NY in the maintenance and marketing departments. In August 2022, Cory and I started praying about International missions. We weren't completely sure what that would look like, but knew God was calling us towards transitioning out of NY. In April 2023, I was connecting with a friend who happened to be visiting New York. She is a missionary in Hungary and she was telling me about the needs for maintenance and marketing that they had there. Immediately I felt excited and at peace about the idea of international missions. We started praying about Hungary, and through many ways, God has been showing us that this is what he wants us to pursue.

Life Verse

Romans 10:13-15: For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”
