About Rifky

It was in 2009, I became a believer of Jesus Christ during the church retreat. I heard John 14:6 - Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” convicted me that I was lost, and I needed Him as my Father after my father had passed away couple of years before. Meanwhile, The Holy Spirit convicted me as well that I was a sinner, and I needed a Savior to save my life from all my wrongdoings. On the last day of the retreat sessions, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior and God. In the bible school, I got my assurance of my salvation that my home is not on Earth but in the Heaven to be with the Lord forever by His grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ through knowing the Hoy Spirit lives in me (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). In the Word of Life Bible Institute Philippines commencement exercises day, I made commitment to my life that I may live and serve Him as a servant of God to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all people.

About Kila

I was born in a Christian family. My mom and my dad helped me to know the Lord Jesus Christ from the bible stories and songs. I enjoyed reading Bible story when I was a little girl although I still did not understand the salvation in Jesus. At the age of 10, my mother got an accident, and it changed my family life forever because since then, my mom needs more attention than the kids. I grew up as a teenager trying to find something that made me comfortable. I remember one time when I was 15, I joined a retreat. The retreat told me about forgiveness in Jesus, and God can restore my family and that Jesus is the Savior. A couple years later, I heard a sermon at my church about the salvation in Jesus, that we all have sinned, and we need to come and accept Jesus in our lives, so the Holy Spirit and live in our hearts. I took that decision to follow Jesus and accepted the salvation in Jesus. After that decision, I know that God always leads me to His way. He processes me to be the person He wants me to be. Every time I try to get away from His love or try to disobey Him, He reminds me of His love. It became my prayer to have a husband who fears and loves the same God as mine. In His time, I met Rifky, my husband, who was in our acquaintance, asked whether I understand the salvation in Jesus. We got closer and got married in 2020. My husband help me to grow in spirit and God leads me to be a missionary’s wife. Looking back to my life in the past before knowing Jesus as my Savior, I praise the Lord that He never abandons me. Sometimes there is still some voice telling me how sinful I am, and that I am not worthy to serve Him. It made me even more believe that Jesus set me free, and my life now belongs to Him. So let it be His will in my life. All glory and honor and praise be to the Lord.

Life Verse

Colossians 2: 6 - 7 "As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving."
